CUCET 2020: PG & Ph.D. Admission

CUCET 2020 will be conducted by 10 central universities of India. It’s a national level examination that’s conducted once in every year. This entry test is conducted to provide admission into undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Application Form: CUCET 2020

Admission Procedure: CUCET 2020

Together with the application fee mentioned above candidates may apply at a maximum of three participating universities/ institutes with a max of three-course options in each institution. In case a candidate wishes to apply at more institutions, he/she could do so by paying the application fee .

Step 1: Pay Fee

Candidates may fill CUCET 2020 application type in the online mode on the official site of the examination. After the form is filled, candidates can cover the CUCET 2020 program fee in the online mode (through debit/credit card) or via SBI Challan.

Step 2: Download CUCET Admit Card

Candidates can download their CUCET 2020 acknowledge card on the official website of the exam and have a printout of the same. CUCET admit card is a compulsory document to be transported to the exam center.

Step 3: Look for CUCET Exam

Next, candidates need to look for CUCET 2020 examination at the allotted exam centre. CUCET exam will be conducted in three sessions daily for distinct UG and PG courses.

Step 4: Check CUCET Result

Candidates may check CUCET 2020 result on the official site of the exam. CUCET result will contain the titles / program numbers of applicants qualifying for the entrance exam.

Step 5: Appear for Interview Round

It could be mentioned that this measure is applicable just for applicants applying for MSc/ MA in Digital Society course. The official site informs,”From the interview round, candidates may be asked to present their interests for the app, career goals, and other instructional questions to judge their suitability into the app.” The interview retains 25 percent weightage in the examination.

Step 6: Look for CUCET Counselling

Lastly, candidates will need to appear for CUCET 2020 counseling session conducted at every central university separately. To appear for the counseling session of a particular university, candidates will need to fill the entry form on the individual university’s official website.

Eligibility: CUCET 2020

For PG:

Candidates must meet with the eligibility criteria set by the Central Universities in order to apply and appear for CUCET 2020. Candidates applying for a master’s degree must possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college.

Candidates applying for entry in the same field of Bachelor’s or alternative need have secured a minimum of 55 percent (General)/ 50 percent (SC/ST) to qualify for CUCET 2020.

For Ph.D,:

If you have cleared UGC-CSIR JRF, GATE, NBHM or qualified in any other National level Exams then you are exempted from appearing in the entrance test but have to register for CUCET 2020.

Need to have a master’s degree in any stream with a minimum of 55% marks for general candidates, 50% marks for OBC candidate and 45% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidate.

Rest the minimum eligibility changes as per the course. As the main subjects required for each course are different depending upon the course you choose to enroll in.

About the CUCET

Central Faculties Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is an all-India level admission examination conducted together by 14 central universities for entrance in UG, PG, and Ph.D. courses offered in most of the participating associations.

The CUCET is conducted after a year-round 120 cities in India. The examination has been conducted in offline mode (pen & paper) that is for two weeks. The CUCAT 2020 online enrollment will start from the third week of March 2020. Candidates that successfully fill in and submit a CUCAT program form, could avail the CUCAT admit card in the second week of May 2020.

The CUCET 2020 examination will be conducted in the fourth week of May 2020. The Central University of Rajasthan is the coordinating university for the exam, which prevents applications from qualified students every year.

Marking: CUCET 2020

There will be negative marking from the newspaper. Each correct answer will take 1 mark and for every wrong response, 0.25 marks will be deducted. Questions never tried won’t be evaluated and considered.

  1. Each correct answer will take 01 marks and also for every incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
  2. Notice that questions not attempted by candidates won’t be evaluated and considered for preparing the final merit list.
  3. The candidate will have to select one correct answer and mark the OMR Sheet.
  4. If a candidate marks multiple entries in the OMR Sheet for a specific question(s), then it is going to be treated as the incorrect response with negative marking.

Exam Pattern: CUCET 2020

  1. Form of Issue: Just Multiple Choice Questions will probably be asked in the exam.
  2. Parts: The examination will be conducted in two parts, i.e. Part A and Section B.
  3. Part-A: This section includes topics from the English language, general awareness, mathematical ability, and analytical skills.
  4. Part-B: This component has been broken up into three segments and consists of a total of 75 MCQs in the domain knowledge.
  5. Duration: The test duration is 2 hours.

Admit Card: CUCET 2020

To download the admit cards candidates might have to enter their registration id and date of arrival . The admit card will soon be accessible in online style after the conclusion of the application process.

Candidates are advised to check complete details from the admit card carefully i.e. examination center, date and time, address, etc.. prior to downloading the admit card. Candidates must bring their admit cards on the exam day otherwise they won’t be allowed to sit in the examination.

Answer key: CUCET 2020

The examination running authority will launch a provisional answer key for those students. Candidates may check the response key via online style in the previous week of April 2020. Throughout the response key, candidates may compute their marks obtained in the admission examination.

If any candidate has any objection regarding the response key, they could object the answer key with providing evidence. After then, the last answer key is going to be released in the next week of May 2020.

Result: CUCET 2020

Candidates may assess their CUCET 2020 Results online in the last week of May 2020. Results will be prepared by the jurisdiction on the basis of marks obtained from the candidates at the entry examination.

The fundamental universities will ready the merit list for UG and PG students on the basis of marks obtained by the students in the exam. Results published on the internet can be checked by the students by inputting their User identification and password.

Cut off: CUCET 2020

The Central Universities will release their CUCET 2020 cut off in online style. The cut off will be ready on the basis of candidates’ performance in the common entrance examination.

Candidates have to score cut marks to be qualified for admission in the universities. The cut off will be prepared based on several different factors like the availability of seats, candidate’s performance in the examination, etc..
